A huge congratulations (and thank you) to the lucky Frazer family for being the winning bidders for the Regional Telethon Home for 2005! Going under the hammer for $600,000 in front of a 600-strong crowd, auctioneer Ron Farris flew down to Bunbury with 10 minutes to spare!

Now an annual event, a casino night was held last Friday to raise money to help find a cure for Juvenile Diabetes! On arrival guests were issued "funny money" to bet with and were asked to donate a token amount to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation – apart from a dodgy money wheel that paid out 4:1 on a few too many occasions, the night went well for all concerned, with Larissa Plackett taking out the perpetual prize, a coveted “50 cent” framed poster passed on from last year’s winner, Jamie Lee.

The much-celebrated Telethon Regional Home for 2005 was launched in the Satterley Dalyellup Estate over the weekend, with a throng (yes, a throng) of suppliers and sponsors braving the brass monkey weather to take part of the first viewing of the home. Built by WA Country Builders, the 2005 home features a magnificent open area that opens out to an alfresco area – perfect for entertaining guests!
