MoCap Madness

AS WE CONTINUE TO BUILD UP OUR SKILLS, we have started implementing the use of Motion Capture data into our animations – basically it’s a way of translating real life motion data to our pixellated characters! So far it’s bringing up all sorts of weird and wonderful results – but it is neat to be able to set up a rigged character to dance, walk, or even use a fire extinguisher!

Looking at the Bigger Picture!

BIGGER (THIS TIME AT LEAST) IS BETTER – one of our clients required some very high resolution images for signage, and we turned to technology developed by noneother than Industrial Light & Magic! A combination of Vray’s built-in frame buffer and ILM’s OpenEXR format was used to generate and manipulate very high resolution files – in excess of 1GB per image!

Spot the Difference!

Say you could predict the future. Most people might think of entering the lottery or buying certain shares, but not us – we think of what the inside of the Telethon Home will look like. Yes, our weird thought patterns are about as random as they get, but have a look at the following, and keep in mind that there is a period of 5 months between when the computer generated images were created to the final photograph taken last Friday.
