New Rendering Engine in the works

Hot on the heels of the recent purchase of Maya 6 software, Constructive Media has now added the VRay Advanced rendering engine to its lineup. Created by the Chaos Group, VRay is used to produce high-quality computer-generated images faster than ever before. VRay technology has been used in television commercials for Toyota, Optus, and FOX to produce stunning results.

It includes new depth-of-field, 3D motion blur, global illumination (GI), and caustic effects to give even more realism to animations and images. This new software requires some tweaking to learn all of its intricacies, so while we play with it keep your eyes peeled for some stunning new visuals!
